West Ham and Leeds are both interested in signing Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite in January, according to a report from Sport.

Marca reported back in the summer that Barca placed the Danish hitman on the transfer list.

So it seems as though if either the Hammers or the Whites meet the La Liga giant’s price, they will get their man.

And that price is rumoured to be somewhere around £16 million (Mundo Deportivo).

It seems as though Braithwaite could be joining either David Moyes at the London Stadium or Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

Sport claims that West Ham and Leeds are eyeing up January swoops for the 29-year-old.

The Dane would hardly be an inspiring addition for the Premier League clubs, however.

Stats

The 39-capped Denmark international has scored just one goal in 16 games for Barcelona since moving to the Camp Nou from Leganes in January (Transfermarkt).

The transfer was a highly controversial one at the time. And it has proven to be a huge waste of time for everyone involved.

Braithwaite has been far from impressive, and it is hard to understand why either West Ham or Leeds would want to sign him.

It seems as though the Hammers and the Whites are in the market for a forward, however. And according to Sport, Braithwaite could be the man for either Moyes or Bielsa.
