Edwards left Spurs on a free transfer in the summer of 2019 and he has really impressed in Portugal.

TEAMtalk claimed at the weekend that West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring the Vitoria Guimaraes ace to the London Stadium.

Portuguese media outlet Record now suggest that the Hammers will have to pay a minimum of £13.7 million if we want to acquire his services.

And Tottenham will allegedly be in line to receive half of that sum – a cool £6.85 million if Edwards is indeed sold.

The 22-year-old would be a brilliant addition for the Hammers. And he would undoubtedly strengthen Moyes’s ranks considerably.

The Vitoria Guimaraes possesses blistering pace and has fantastic technical ability.

West Ham fans should be excited about the possibility of signing the former Spurs flyer.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho will be keeping a close eye on the situation. £6.85 million out of nowhere would be a very timely boost for Spurs ahead of the January transfer window.

Perhaps this will be one occasion when Tottenham are hoping that West Ham do end up making a decent signing in January.
