According to a report from Football.London, Tomas Soucek is desperate to join West Ham on a permanent deal in the summer.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Hammers from Slavia Prague in January on loan until the end of the season.
And the Czech has made an instant impact with West Ham. Soucek has only made four Premier League appearances so far, but he already looks like the real deal.
The energetic midfielder has racked up eight tackles, eight interceptions, 12 clearances and 10 ball recoveries in those four outings (premierleague.com).
He is incredibly energetic and his stamina levels are surely the envy of many.
Having paid a £3.5 million loan fee for Soucek, West Ham have an option to buy the 25-capped Czech Republic international for just £13.5 million in the summer, according to the Guardian.
And Football.London claims that the 6ft 4in ace is desperate to make his loan switch to the Hammers a permanent one.
But in order for that to happen, West Ham will need to avoid relegation this season.
And the Hammers will surely be desperate to make the Czech’s deal a permanent one too.
Soucek has brought so much to David Moyes’s side. And if West Ham do stay up, a further £13.5 million for the 24-year-old’s signature will be a real coup for the east London outfit.
