West Ham winger Grady Diangana is a loan target for West Bromwich Albion, according to Football London. Slaven Bilic is the new manager of West Brom and he is hoping to use his relationship with West Ham to bring in Diangana.
The 21-year-old is one of West Brom’s key targets before Thursday’s deadline and Bilic’s men are happy to pay a loan fee to land him. West Ham will now weigh up whether to send Diangana out on loan.
Diangana broke into the West Ham team last season, scoring twice on his debut against Macclesfield Town. He has now played over 20 games for the Hammers and impressed in pre-season, scoring against Hertha Berlin.
But with other options ahead of him, a loan spell could be on the cards. Bilic has a strong relationship with the West Ham fans after his spell as manager in East London. Now, he could help to develop a promising young player.
Best option for Grady Diangana
Diangana is a useful squad option for Manuel Pellegrini. But a loan spell would be in the best interests of his long-term future. Rather than getting the occasional game, he could star for West Brom in a Championship promotion push.
West Ham are not short of options out wide. With Michail Antonio, Robert Snodgrass, Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson, as well as Nathan Holland, the Hammers are well-stocked in the winger department.
Diangana needs to prove himself on loan so that he can break into the starting line-up next summer. West Brom is the perfect environment given the fact that they are a big club competing at the top end of the Championship with Bilic as the manager.
