Kurt Zouma is tempted by the idea of joining West Ham from Chelsea this summer according to a report from L’Equipe (print edition, August 18th, page 12).

The Hammers have allegedly submitted a £25 million bid for the 26-year-old. It remains to be seen whether that is enough to prise the Frenchman away from Stamford Bridge, however.

Zouma would be a great addition to the West Ham squad.

David Moyes is clearly a big fan of him having stepped away from discussions to sign Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic and deciding to pursue a move for the Chelsea ace.

£25 million would be good value for the defender, but the Hammers aren’t the only club keen to sign him. Sevilla want him too.

Kurt Zouma open to West Ham move

L’Equipe reckon that the 26-year-old is keen to join West Ham. He would allegedly prefer a move to the London Stadium over a switch to Sevilla.

That is obviously very good news.

The powerful Chelsea defender would be an excellent signing for the Hammers.

In 24 Premier League outings for Chelsea last season, Zouma averaged 0.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 3.8 clearances per game. He also won an average of 3.6 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).

The 26-year-old, who earns £46k-a-week at Chelsea (Spotrac), made 74 passes on average per game last season and recorded a mightily impressive completion rate of 90.9% (Who Scored).

We would be more than happy if Zouma arrives at the London Stadium from Chelsea this summer.
