West Ham United have reportedly received a huge boost in their alleged pursuit of Derby County starlet Jason Knight.
In other news…Journalist claims West Ham will have to pay at least £8m to make 26-y/o striker deal happen
The Sun claims that the Rams are faced with the prospect of administration and are now open to selling Jason Knight to help ease their financial woes.
Derby are struggling to pay their players’ wages.
So if West Ham were to submit a decent offer for Knight, the Rams would surely be open to accepting it.

The Irish Mirror claimed last week that Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring the 19-year-old Derby midfielder to the London Stadium this month.
West Ham desperately need to bolster their central midfield ranks this month. Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have forged a very strong partnership in the middle of the park but David Moyes has little in reserve aside from Mark Noble.
West Ham move for Jason Knight a no-brainer
With that in mind, Derby County ace Jason Knight could be the ideal January addition.
Jason Knight looks like a real talent. Wayne Rooney is a huge fan of the midfielder, and compared the Derby ace to a young version of himself.

The teenager has played a key role for the Rams this season and has proven to be one of the most important players Rooney has at his disposal.
Knight has scored two goals in 22 Championship appearances (Transfermarkt).
He is an orthodox central midfielder, but he can also operate in the number 10 position.
Jason Knight would be a really exciting addition for West Ham. And with Derby’s alleged financial problems, we should have a very good chance of signing him this month.
