According to a report from Italian publication Area Napoli, the Hammers want to sign the 24-year-old winger this summer.

Manchester United and Everton are also in for Lozano, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

And now it seems like soon-to-be money bags Newcastle are set to join the party.

Todo Fichajes claims that the Magpies are in advanced negotiations with Napoli to bring Lozano to St James’ Park.

If they are it successful, it he would be a real coup for Steve Bruce. And at the same time, it will be a big blow to David Moyes, if he does indeed end up missing out on the Mexican.

Lozano joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2019 for around €42 million (£36 million), according to Goal.

The 24-year-old has struggled with Napoli, however. He has racked up just three goals and two assists in 25 outings so far this season (Transfermarkt).

In 16 league games for the Serie A outfit, the Mexico international has just two goals and one assist to his name. He has averaged just 1.3 shots, 0.8 dribbles and 0.8 key passes per game during those outings (Who Scored).

The speedy winger proved during his time with PSV, however, that he is more than capable of producing the goods on the world’s biggest stage.

Lozano racked up 40 goals and 23 assists in 79 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit (Transfermarkt).

Todo Fichajes claims that the 24-year-old could be up for grabs for around €50 million (£46 million).

That’s a serious amount of money. But Newcastle will easily be able to afford it, once their takeover is complete. Unfortunately for us, however, the same cannot be said about West Ham.
