Hammers boss David Moyes decided against bringing a striker to the London Stadium last month.

That could end up costing us dearly.

Hopefully Michail Antonio will remain fit for the entirety of the campaign because if he doesn’t West Ham could be in real trouble.

Last night’s win away at Aston Villa was mightily impressive. There is a genuine feeling amongst Hammers fans that we are one injury away from a disaster, however.

Diego Costa a potential solution for West Ham?

The East London outfit are riding high in fifth spot in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of the top four.

Bringing in a top class free agent striker could really cement our place in the top six.

And Italian media outlet Il Messaggero claims that the Hammers have been given the opportunity to do exactly that by signing Diego Costa.

The 32-year-old has allegedly been offered to West Ham by intermediaries.

Costa isn’t the player he once was, but he would surely be able to do a job for the Hammers between now and the end of the season.

The 32-year-old has a fine record during his time in the game. He has scored 191 goals in 498 games games for club and country (Transfermarkt). The striker has also won two Premier League titles and has a La Liga winner’s medal to his name.

Costa is a proven winer. And signing the Spain international seems like somewhat of a no-brainer for David Moyes.
