Gabriel Barbosa’s future has become an increasingly confusing situation.
West Ham want Barbosa but it seems that Flamengo are pressing hard to sign him. The Brazilian striker has been on loan in his homeland and Flamengo want to make his move from Inter Milan a permanent one.
Flamengo to sign Barbosa…or not?

But there are contrasting reports about this potential transfer. According to ESPN Brasil, Flamengo are running out of patience as they believe that Barbosa wants to try his luck in Europe again. He has played less than 20 games for Inter and Benfica combined.
However, another report claims that Flamengo are confident that they can land Barbosa. Marcos Braz, the vice president of Flamengo, has reportedly said (Brazilian newspaper O Dia via Sempre Inter) that Barbosa will join for up to £18.5m.
West Ham are interested in the 23-year-old if he decides to take on a European challenge (according to FC Inter News). The Hammers face a battle from Flamengo and a number of other clubs for Barbosa, though.
Barbosa – also known as Gabigol – has been compared to Neymar in the past. With 33 goals in 39 games, and two trophies, this season, Barbosa might be the striker West Ham need.
