West Ham United reportedly expect there to be an agreement ‘soon’ regarding the potential departure of Premier League flop Niclas Fullkrug to Italian giants AC Milan.
This time last week, Wolfsburg looked the most likely destination for the former Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen and Hannover striker.

But in a sudden twist, AC Milan have now stormed into pole position to secure Niclas Fullkrug’s signature.
Reports have emerged claiming that the seven-time European champions have reached an agreement with West Ham United’s number eleven regarding his wages. There is no agreement yet between the clubs – Milan want to sign Fullkrug on an initial loan deal – but German publication BILD are confident that this will change soon.

BILD say that West Ham, who have been linked with the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Marcos Leonardo, Ivan Toney and Promise ‘Baby Lukaku’ David, ‘expect an agreement [to happen] soon’.
This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that Fullkrug had picked Serie A over a Bundesliga return. Despite an approach by Wolfsburg and interest from the likes of FC Augsburg, the late-blooming 33-year-old appears keen on a fresh start and an entirely new adventure.
“Fullkrug prefers Italy, even though he’s German and has two offers from Germany,” Romano said on his YouTube channel. “But when he called Milan to gather concrete information, to study how to secure him, Fullkrug gave Milan total priority.
“Milan have started discussions.”
The Rossoneri hope to sign Fullkrug on an initial loan deal. BILD believe that an option-to-buy clause may be included in the contract, though others indicate that Fullkrug is merely a short-term quick fix until Dusan Vlahovic becomes available.
Vlahovic will leave Juventus when his contract expires in July 2026.
