West Ham United are set to make an improved £32million offer for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

‘He tried it with Haller now this’ West Ham fans joke about David Sullivan theory

West Ham have just 10 days to bring in a striker after leaving David Moyes with the brilliant but injury-prone converted winger Michail Antonio as his only senior forward.

The sale of Sebastien Haller boosted Moyes’s transfer fund to the tune of £20million.

West Ham desperate for new striker but Moyes unflustered

But the West Ham boss has insisted he will not sign a striker unless it is a player he wants and feels can add to the team.

West Ham fans are worried the club’s best start to a season for 35 years will be jeopordised if they don’t bring a striker in.

The Hammers have been linked with all and sundry since offloading £45m flop Haller.

But West Ham have bid for both Reims striker Boulaye Dia (90 Min) and Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri (The Athletic).

The opening bid for Dia was said to be around £10m while the first offer for En-Nesyri was reportedly around £25m. Both were rejected.

Report cites reason why improved West Ham bid for Sevilla striker will be rejected

And West Ham are reportedly set to go back in with a higher bid for En-Nesyri.

However a new report from The Daily Star claims a planned renewed £32m bid for the Moroccan will be unsuccessful.

That’s because the La Liga club want more of the money up front.

“West Ham are preparing a new offer worth around £32m for Youssef En-Nesyri after failing with their opening bid,” The Star claims.

“But it is likely to be rejected by Sevilla because too much of the fee is made up of add-ons and not guaranteed money.

“The Hammers failed with an initial bid of £22.5m rising to £27m for the Morocco striker, who is one of at least three forwards they have made offers for.

Hammers fans sceptical over club’s true intentions

“They are willing to go back in with an improved offer of £25m rising to around £32m if the player hits certain targets with West Ham.

“But Sevilla want at least £35m for En-Nesyri, who scored against Alaves (on Tuesday night) to take his tally to 13 goals in 26 games this season.”

Some West Ham fans are sceptical over the En-Nesyri interest.

Many believe it is another case of the club’s owners under bidding for a player they have no real intention of signing.
