A report claims David Moyes has refused co-owner Daniel Kretinsky’s West Ham transfer invitation until a summer assessment.
Moyes is facing a major rebuild at West Ham this summer with as many as six to 10 new players required to overhaul the second oldest squad in the Premier League and replace those leaving, retiring or clearly not in the manager’s plans.
West Ham’s shallow squad have done Moyes and the club proud this season. Indeed the manager has worked a minor miracle with what he has available.

But many fans and pundits feel West Ham’s failure to sign at least another striker in the January window is costing the club dear.
The likes of Jamie Redknapp questioned the decision not to reinforce the West Ham forward line following the defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.
It is easy to see why that criticism is being levelled at Moyes and the Hammers board.

West Ham’s only senior striker Michail Antonio has scored one Premier League goal in 2022 – on New Year’s Day.
One striker who has been heavily linked with West Ham is Sparta Prague’s Adam Hlozek – a Czech international teammate of Hammers trio Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal and Alex Kral.
Speculation linking West Ham with a move for Hlozek intensified after Czech billionaire and Sparta Prague owner Kretinsky became the club’s second biggest stakeholder in November (Daily Mail).

However a new report from 90Min claims Moyes has refused Kretinsky’s West Ham transfer invitation to sign Hlozek on loan until he carries out a summer assessment.
The report from 90Min claims that Kretinsky has offered Hlozek to Moyes on loan this summer.
The 19-year-old is enjoying a strong season with Sparta Prague with 21 goal contributions to his name in 29 league games.
But 90Min journalists Toby Cudworth and Graeme Bailey claim Moyes and West Ham’s head of recruitment Rob Newman ‘do not want to sign off on a move for Hlozek’ until they assess their targets at the end of the season.

And that – according to 90Min – could see West Ham miss out on the star altogether.
“90min now understands that billionaire investor Daniel Kretinsky, who purchased a 27% stake in the club on 10 November and is the president of Sparta Prague, has personally proposed sending Hlozek on loan to London Stadium this summer – a deal that he is only willing to put forward for West Ham,” 90Min report.
“However, manager David Moyes and the club’s head of recruitment, Rob Newman, wish to assess the club’s options and do not want to sign off on a move for Hlozek – who already has 12 international caps for Czech Republic – until the season has ended.

“The reluctance to take up Kretinsky’s favourable offer could open the door for other interested parties to swoop in for Hlozek, who has already indicated that he is ready to move on and test himself at a higher level.”
The report claims the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in the striker.
