A new report has confirmed David Moyes is considering bringing Ilford boy Ainsley Maitland-Niles back to his roots with a late window move.
Moyes has made it clear all summer he is looking to bring versatile players to West Ham.
And they don’t come much more versatile than Arsenal utility man Maitland-Niles.

West Ham have been linked with Maitland-Niles in the past.
And a recent report from The Express claims that Bournemouth and Fulham are battling it out with the Hammers for the Arsenal man’s signature.
As is the way with the transfer window, West Ham are often linked with all and sundry.
But it seems there could be some truth to the Maitland-Niles claim.

Because a new report has confirmed Moyes is considering bringing Ilford boy Maitland-Niles back to his roots with a late window move.
Maitland-Niles has been loaned out to West Brom and Roma in recent seasons and the 24-year-old is clearly not part of Mikel Arteta’s new look Arsenal.
Moyes desperately wants to sign a new central midfielder this summer and is believed to hold out some hope that he may be able to lure Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.

But failing that, The Daily Mail claims Maitland-Niles will be targeted late on in the window, which closes next Thursday, presumably if the Hammers cannot get any joy out of Chelsea for Gallagher.
“Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles has also been discussed as another option for David Moyes and West Ham,” The Daily Mail has confirmed.
AMN was born and raised in Goodmayes, Ilford – very much West Ham territory.

The 24-year-old ace has energy, pace, power and athleticism in abundance. He embodies everything that the modern day player needs to succeed and ticks a lot of boxes in Moyes’ West Ham recruitment philosophy.
The Gunner has played five times for England and can also play at full-back.
He would be a clever signing but much will depend it seems on whether Moyes can get his first choice, Gallagher.
