The Hammers are flying high in fourth spot in the Premier League table at the moment.
Whatever happens this season, however, it is clear to see that David Moyes needs to strengthen his squad considerably at the London Stadium in the summer.
West Ham’s need for one or two top class strikers has been well-documented. We cannot continue to solely rely upon Michail Antonio.
It cannot be underestimated just how badly we need a central midfielder as well, however.
Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have forged a wonderful partnership in the middle of the park for the Hammers.

West Ham to move for Burnley ace Josh Brownhill?
David Moyes has little in reserve aside from the ageing Mark Noble.
Eurosport claims that Burnley ace Josh Brownhill is very likely to be on West Ham’s radar in the summer.
The 25-year-old Clarets ace would be a very useful addition for the Hammers.
Whether Sean Dyche will be prepared to let him leave Turf Moor, however, is another matter entirely.

Brownhill is a very combative central midfielder. He is a tenacious tackler and has an uncanny knack of being able to intercept the ball and interrupt the opposition’s play. His tackling and intercepting are key features of his game.
The former Bristol City ace has 60 interceptions to his name in 25 Premier League games for Burnley this season (premierleague.com). He’s second on the list behind only Southampton’s Jan Bednarek.
Since moving to Turf Moor in January 2020, the Burnley ace has proven himself to be a top class Premier League player this season. He is incredibly consistent.
The 25-year-old is the kind of reliable character David Moyes loves.
And Brownhill would be a very good signing for West Ham if Moyes manages to prise him away from the Clarets in the summer.
