The 23-year-old is currently on loan with Granada. He is set to return to the Etihad to link up with Pep Guardiola again in the summer, however.
The 23-capped Venezuela international midfielder has really impressed in Spain, racking up 10 goals and five assists in 74 games (Transfermarkt).
The Hammers moving to sign Man City ace Herrera in the summer would certainly make sense. David Moyes in desperate need of bolstering his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium.

West Ham have little in reserve, however, with Mark Noble providing the competition and cover for the Czech Republic and England internationals.

Despite having been with City for years now, Herrera is still yet to make an appearance for the Premier League leaders.
The report from Goal does add that Pep Guardiola is considering reintegrating the Venezuelan into his first-team squad, however.
Much depends on how much West Ham would be willing to pay for the South American.
And if he is guaranteed regular first-team football at the London Stadium, a move to West Ham this summer may well make a lot of sense for the good of his career.
