West Ham United will sell Marko Arnautovic this summer IF a club meets their asking price.

According to Sky Sports Arnautovic has handed in a transfer request as he wants to leave West Ham for China.

It is a case of deja vu for West Ham fans who endured a similar saga back in January.

Here we go again

Arnautovic ended up staying at West Ham and signing a new and improved contract.

But it seems that has counted for little with his agent and brother Danijel confirming Sky’s story in another public outburst.

Many West Ham fans have grown tired of the Austrian’s stance and want to see him sold.

West Ham will sell for £40million

Reports have claimed a bid from China amounted to just £19.7million. That kind of money does not even get you a mediocre fullback in the modern market.

So West Ham are entitled to expect more.

And according to a new report from The Evening Standard the Hammers will sell for £40million.

That is £10million less than West Ham wanted back in January.

Hardline Hammers

“The Hammers value Arnautovic at £40m and immediately dismissed the offer as derisory,” The Evening Standard claims.

“West Ham will take a hard stance with the 30-year-old but they will consider selling him if their valuation is met and they can find a replacement.”

Said replacement could be Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.

Manuel Pellegrini is keen to add the Uruguayan to his arsenal as well as West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon.
