West Ham have made a loan offer for Barcelona full-back Junior Firpo according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.

Now we take most reports from abroad regarding potential transfers with a pinch of salt.
This one seems as though it could have legs, however.
Arthur Masuaku is likely to be out for quite some time having undergone knee surgery.

On top of that, Aaron Cresswell twisted his ankle against Crystal Palace last night.
It will be absolutely vital for David Moyes to bring another left-back to the London Stadium in January.
The problem is that funds are tight at West Ham. So a short-term loan deal may well be the way forward for the Hammers next month.
Mundo Deportivo claims that the Hammers have already submitted a loan offer for Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo.
The 24-year-old joined Barcelona from Real Betis in the summer of 2019 for around €18 million (£16.2 million) according to Mundo Deportivo.
Things haven’t gone to plan for Firpo at the Camp Nou, however. He has made just 29 appearances for the Catalan giants (Transfermarkt).

The former Betis ace is a top class player, however. He can operate either at left-back or left-wing-back and is exactly the kind of player Moyes should be looking to sign.
Firpo is the right age. He is athletic, dynamic and has bundles of technical ability.
West Ham signing the Barca ace on loan in January would be a very wise move. Let’s hope that we get this one over the line.
The Hammers allegedly could face competition from Granada and Napoli so we will have our work cut-out if we are to win the race for the 24-year-old’s signature.
