West Ham United have allegedly made an approach to sign talented Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini this summer.
That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition June 19th, page 9) who claim that the Hammers are currently in talks with the 23-year-old full-back’s agent.

Left-back is definitely an area at the London Stadium where West Ham manager David Moyes needs to strengthen before the start of next season.
Aaron Cresswell has been a very good servant for the Hammers since moving to the club from Ipswich Town in 2014 for around £4 million (Mirror).

It seems as though there is another option for us though…
West Ham are in talks to sign Juventus left-back
Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Hammers are in constant discussions with Luca Pellegrini’s representatives.
His agent – Vincenzo Raiola, is looking for a new destination for the 23-year-old this summer and it is alleged that a move to the Premier League could well be on the cards.
We think that the Italian defender would be a very smart addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
Pellegrini has bags of pace, is an able defender and offers a lot going forward as well. He is at an age where he will undoubtedly continue to improve at a fairly fast rate as well.

Pellegrini joined Juventus from Roma in 2019 for around £19 million (SI Soccer). He made an immediate impression in Turin but hasn’t been a regular starter over the past 18 months.
The 23-year-old is an attacking full-back by nature and can also operate further ip the pitch if need be.
He actually rejected a move to West Ham in the summer of 2021 because he wanted to stay and fight for his place at Juve (Bianconero).
That obviously hasn’t worked out for him though.
And if West Ham are indeed in talks to sign Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini, it seems as though the Italian moving to the London Stadium is a very likely outcome in the summer transfer window.
