Hammers boss David Moyes will be keen to bolster his central midfield ranks this summer. Carlos Sanchez is almost certainly set to leave at the end of the season, whilst Mark Noble has entered the twilight years of his career.
The same could be said for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta. The north London outfit have often been accused of lacking any kind of physicality in central midfield. Lucas Torreira has also been linked with an exit from the Emirates (Milan News).
And Milan News suggest that Arsenal could be looking to address that issue by making a move for AC Milan ace Frank Kessie this summer.
Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato claims that West Ham want to Ivory Coast international as well, however.
So if the Gunners do make an official move for the 23-year-old, the Hammers will have to act fast, and might just have a big decision to make.
Kessie has racked up one goal and one assist in 23 Serie A outings for Milan this season (Who Scored).
In those appearances, the Ivorian has averaged 1.7 tackles and 0.7 interceptions per game. He has also averaged 41 passes per game during that period, with an incredibly impressive completion rate of 88.1% (Who Scored).
The Milan ace is powerful, energetic and dynamic. He seems to be ideally suited to the robust, frenetically paced Premier League.
The Express claims that the Serie A giants could sell the midfielder for around £30 million.
All that remains to be seen now is whether West Ham can find a way of beating Arsenal to Kessie’s signature this summer.
