According to a report from the Sun, Chelsea are planning to scout alleged West Ham target Serhou Guirassy next week.
The Amiens hitman is a target for the Hammers, according to the Sun, with the east London outfit thought to be leading the race for the 23-year-old’s signature.
The Sun are now claiming that Chelsea have joined the race for Guirassy, however, with Blues boss Frank Lampard set to embark on a massive £300 million summer spending spree.
And with Tottenham also allegedly keen on the striker, it seems as though there will be a real battle for his services in the summer.
Stats
The Frenchman has scored eight goals in 22 Ligue 1 outings for Amiens so far this season. In total, he has scored 37 goals in 148 career club appearances (Transfermarkt).
Standing at 6ft 2in tall, Guirassy is strong in the air. In 22 league games this season, he has won an average of 4.1 aerial duals per game (Who Scored).
In those outings, the Amiens hitman averages 1.9 shots, 0.7 dribbles and 0.6 key passes per game (Who Scored).
Guriassy is clearly not an elite striker. And in truth, Chelsea and West Ham could both probably do a lot better.
The Sun claims that he could be available for around £20 million. And that just seems like too much money for a player with his limited capabilities.
