ExWHUemployee claims agent has offered Rafael Da Silva to West Ham

ExWHUemployee has claimed that Rafael Da Silva’s agent has offered his client to West Ham, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Tuesday, January 6th).

Sky Sports claimed yesterday that Lyon are open to selling the 29-year-old full-back, who is out of contract in the summer of 2021.

And with the Hammers’ current problems at right-back, the Brazilian would surely be a decent capture for them.

ExWHUemployee has claimed that the former Manchester United man has been offered to West Ham, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Tuesday, January 6th):

“Rafael Da Silva, he’s been told by Lyon that he can leave them. His agent has been pimping him out to a number of clubs, us included. He’s 29, but I’m not sure if the club are interested in him. But he has been proposed to us.”

Good signing?

Rafael is extremely experienced, and would provide really strong competition and cover for the currently injured Ryan Fredericks.

He won three Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford, and that kind of winning mentality could prove to be very useful for West Ham.

The South American is not as quick as he used to be, but he is still a very solid defender. And he is well versed in getting forward and supporting his side’s attacks.

Rafael would be an undoubted upgrade on Pablo Zabaleta.

And if West Ham could pick him up for a decent fee this month, it seems like an absolute no-brainer for them.
