Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign an established striker in the summer.
The same could be said of Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool need an out and out number nine to compete with Roberto Firmino.
The Reds quite simply aren’t firing at the moment. Perhaps a new arrival at Anfield in the summer is needed.
And it seems as though Youssef En-Nesyri is on the Merseyside outfit’s radar.
According to a report from 90 Min, Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the 23-year-old Sevilla hitman to Anfield.
Liverpool chasing Youssef En-Nesyri is a big problem for West Ham
Hammers boss David Moyes now has his work cut out if he wants to bring the Morocco international to the London Stadium.
The Athletic claimed towards the end of January that West Ham made a £27 million bid for the 23-year-old – one that was swiftly rejected by Sevilla.
And as recently as yesterday, it was claimed that the Hammers have actually already submitted an offer for the Moroccan ahead of the summer transfer window (Il Milanista).
Liverpool En-Nesyri interest a spanner in the works for West Ham
If Liverpool are really keen on the Sevilla ace, West Ham may find it hard to tempt him into moving to East London. Unless we finish above the Reds in the table of course!
The Morocco international has been in superb form for Sevilla this season. He has scored 17 goals in 34 games thus far (Transfermarkt). The 23-year-old is lively, quick and has great mobility and movement.
En-Nesyri is pretty good in the air as well. In short, he is a complete striker. £30 million, or even £40 million, would be decent value for the Moroccan striker.
Let’s just hope that the West Ham board are prepared to back Moyes so the Scot is able to complete with the likes of Liverpool in the transfer market this summer.
