West Ham United would be making a big statement by signing Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City this summer. And the Hammers could deal a big blow to Chelsea in the process as well.
The Blues tried to sign the 21-year-old winger back in 2019 but they couldn’t come to an agreement with the Robins (TEAMtalk).
And TEAMtalk now claim that West Ham are interested in bringing Semenyo to the London Stadium this summer.
The London born attacker is clearly a massive talent.
Semenyo, a winger who can also operate through the middle as a centre-forward, has been in fine form for Bristol City this season. He has racked up five goals and seven assists in 43 games for the Robins (Transfermarkt).
It is little wonder why Chelsea wanted to sign him two years ago.
West Ham could strike blow to Chelsea by signing Antoine Semenyo
It seems as though the Blues’ interest has now passed. And West Ham are thought to be hunting his signature.
Bringing a young, hungry attacker to the London Stadium this summer would be a great move from David Moyes.
The 21-year-old is the kind of player who could really flourish at West Ham.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have an embarrassment of riches in the attacking department at Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel has so many options top choose from.
It would be so typical of the Blues to miss out on someone born just down the road, having spent £50 million plus on Timo Werner, who is now really struggling in England.
If West Ham buy Semenyo and he lights it up in the Premier League, it would be a really bitter pill for Chelsea to swallow.
Make it happen Moysie!
