West Ham United have been linked with an ambitious move for Portuguese wonderkid Gedson Fernandes.
According to Sky Sports West Ham are one of four Premier League clubs chasing the Benfica star.
The 20-year-old is out of favour after falling out with the Benfica manager.
And despite having a whopping £102million release clause, Benfica have reportedly conceded they are willing to accept a more realistic valuation.

West Ham ‘in talks’ for Fernandes
Sky Sports claims West Ham are in discussions over an 18-month loan deal with an option to buy.
And the Hammers are leading the likes of Manchester United in the chase for the 20-year-old according to reports Sky Sports Transfer Show.
That show claims there are ‘personal reasons’ behind Fernandes’s preference to join West Ham.

‘Personal reason’ for player’s West Ham preference revealed

And reliable Hammers insider ExWHUemployee has suggested that is accurate.
“Think it’s his mum,” ExWHUemployee replied when asked if it was to be nearer his parents.
Landing Fernandes would be a huge coup for West Ham.
David Moyes has made no secret of his desire to strengthen in midfield since taking over last weekend.

Pull this one off and unpopular co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold will be going some way to proving they are still ambitious for the club.
