Perfect West Ham transfer window: Four player splurge could cost Moyes just £28 million

West Ham could secure the perfect January transfer window by signing four players – all for absolute bargain fees.

Hammers boss David Moyes will be a very busy man between now and the end of the month.

West Ham are flying high in fourth spot in the Premier League table at the moment. Sure, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United all have multiple games in hand over us but they’ve still got to win them.

And the Hammers have a real chance of gatecrashing the Champions League places this season.

However, in order to do just that, Moyes must make a couple of key additions in the January transfer window. It could be argued that we need a striker, a centre-back, a left-back and even an attacking midfielder, if we are to challenge for the top four.

Many would argue that there is no way West Ham will sign four players this month. There is a way Moyes could do it though, and he wouldn’t even need to spend £30 million according to reports…

The perfect West Ham transfer window for bargain fees

David Moyes could bring in four top-class players for absolute bargain transfer fees this month. Every single one of them would be a fantastic addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

Here are the four players who have been linked with West Ham who we believe Moyes should sign in the January window…

Aaron Hickey

Peter O’Rourke, when speaking to Give Me Sport, claimed that West Ham could make a move to sign the Bologna left-back.

Since joining the Serie A outfit, Hickey has been a huge hit in Italy, bagging four goals in 32 games (Transfermarkt).

All of those goals have come in 20 appearances this season. The 19-year-old has averaged 1.1 tackles and one interception per game this season. He’s made 28.2 passes per match on average and has recorded an impressive completion rate of 86% (Who Scored).

And Hickey is now believed to be worth around £8 million (Edinburgh News). We think that fee would be incredible value for West Ham.

Boubacar Kamara

The young Frenchman, 22, is an unbelievable talent.

He can play in both the defensive midfield and centre-back positions.

He has the kind of ability that would take West Ham to another level. The 22-year-old Marseille man is tenacious in the tackle, is incredibly dynamic and has bundles of energy. He is an exceptional passer of the football as well.

Corriere dello Sport (print edition January 17th, page 12) claims that Marseille could cash in on Kamara for just £5 million this month rather than risk losing him for nothing in the summer.

Get this one done now Moysie!

Fabio Carvalho

The young Fulham starlet could be available for just £5 million this summer according to The Sun.

Carvalho has made a huge impression for the senior team at Craven Cottage with seven goals and two assists in 16 Championship games this season (Transfermarkt).

He is an unreal talent and if Moyes manages to bring the 19-year-old to the London Stadium for just £5 million this month, it would be a truly sensational coup.

Divock Origi

The 26-year-old Liverpool hitman is on the Hammers’ radar according to a report from 90 Min.

Origi could be available for £10 million or even less in the January transfer window according to Sky Sports.

That’s unreal value. David Moyes absolutely has to get this one done. He can play anywhere along the front-line, is willing to put in a real shift and has proven that he can produce the goods at the very highest level.

Origi is a very good finisher as well. Absolute no-brainer.

Whilst it’s unlikely that Moyes will make four new signings this month, it is certainly possible. All four of those mentioned above would make a huge difference in West Ham’s chase for a top-four finish.

And incredibly, it could cost the Hammers just £28 million!
