Paul Merson told Sky Sports on Saturday that alleged West Ham United target Tammy Abraham will be on his way from Chelsea this summer.
Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperate to bring a top class centre-forward to the London Stadium this summer.
And Chelsea hitman Tammy Abraham fits the bill perfectly.
Eurosport recently claimed that the 23-year-old Blues ace joining the Hammers this summer is a realistic possibility.
And ExWHUemployee suggested that Abraham is David Moyes’ number one transfer target.
Paul Merson makes prediction about Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham
The 23-year-old forward appears to be surplus to requirements under Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.
Paul Merson thinks Abraham will be on his way this summer and told Sky Sports on Saturday that there will be plenty of takers for his signature:
“I think he will be on his way, I think Abraham will be on his way. There will be plenty of takers, absolute plenty of takers for me, but not at one of the top clubs at the moment.”
One huge problem for West Ham could be Chelsea’s valuation of Tammy.
The Mirror claims that the Blues could demand as much as £50 million for the England international striker.
There is absolutely no chance the Hammers will pay that kind of money for Abraham. Perhaps a fee closer to £30 million would be a fairer price.
And if Moyes brings Tammy to the London Stadium for something like that figure, he would be a brilliant addition for West Ham.
