Hammers boss David Moyes absolutely must sign a top class centre-forward this summer.

In fact, the Scot really needs to bring two strikers to the London Stadium.

One name to have been persistently linked with a move to West Ham this summer is Patson Daka (Zam Foot).

It was actually suggested that the Hammers were leading the race to sign the 22-year-old Zambia international (Zam Foot).

Patson Daka to West Ham unlikely

ExWHUemployee has poured cold water on talk of the RB Salzburg hitman joining the Hammers before the start of next season.

Ex suggested that whilst West Ham are interested in Daka, he doesn’t think he will be moving to East London this summer, when speaking on the West Ham Way Podcast (June 8th):

“A forward who got mentioned recently, Daka. I had Zambian journalists bombarding me with direct messages as to why he was joining West Ham. At this point, I don’t think he is joining West Ham. I think Liverpool are in the mix, RB Leipzig are in the mix. I’m not sure whether we will be able to match the price for him. There’s definite interest in him though.”

Missing out on Daka would be a real shame.

The RB Salzburg ace is an absolutely outstanding talent. He has been described as an ‘exceptional goal machine’ by well-renowned statistical analysis website Who Scored.

Daka racked up a stunning 34 goals and 12 assists in 42 games for RB Salzburg so far this season (Transfermarkt). That is a sensational return whatever league you’re playing in.

He would have been a superb signing for us. Who knows, things could still change. At the moment, however, the Zambian joining the Hammers seems highly unlikely.
