Pablo Felipe linked with a very ironic West Ham exit as Jorge Mendes gets involved

So-called super-agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly hawking Pablo Felipe around clubs in need of a centre-forward after West Ham United’s relegation from the Premier League.

Whether a move could materialise for the £20 million January signing probably depends on which half of 2025/26 said clubs decide to focus on.

The part when Pablo scored ten times in 13 starts for Gil Vicente? Or the part where he failed to find the net even once during 17 appearances for West Ham United?

Rome-based publication Il Messaggero are claiming that Jorge Mendes, who brought Pablo to the London Stadium five months ago and also represents head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, has ‘proposed’ the idea of Pablo moving to Lazio.

It remains to be seen if the Bianconeri bite.

It has been a subject of much discussion over in the Roman press. Lazio’s lack of a reliable centre-forward contributed heavily to a failure to force their way into the European reckoning. President Claudio Lotito privately shared frustrations over the sale of Taty Castellanos – to West Ham, ironically enough – and Maurizio Sarri’s inevitable departure came as no surprise when it was announced in May.

There is therefore a chance that one current West Ham striker could replace another at the Stadio Olimpico.

Which top star had the most DISAPPOINTING West Ham career? 😫

Barcelona icon Mascherano only played 5 Prem games…

Javier Mascherano of West Ham United is booked by referee Steve Bennett after fouling Jermain Defoe of Tottenham Hotspur, during the Barclays Premiership match between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United at White Hart Lane on October 22, 2006 in London, England.

One suspects, given that the Hammers need to raise funds, selling Pablo for an eight-figure sum is something they would consider.

Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville look certain to go, but recouping the majority of their £20 million investment for a striker with zero goals in 17 matches would be much more palatable than, say, cashing in on Dinos Mavropanos, Tomas Soucek or another fan favourite.

On the other hand, Pablo is yet to have a pre-season with West Ham.

His nightmare start to life in England could partially be explained by the difficulties involved when moving to a new country mid-season. Pablo was also reportedly carrying an injury from Portugal, and suffered a calf problem only weeks after joining.
