West Ham really should consider taking a look at Chelsea hitman Michy Batshuayi this month.

Hammers boss David Moyes will surely be looking to sign an established striker in order to beef up his mis-firing front-line.

£45 million summer arrival Sebastien Haller (BBC) is failing to fire, and Albian Ajeti just doesn’t look to be good enough for the Premier League.

If West Ham are to make a push for the top half of the table during the second half of the campaign, Moyes absolutely must bring in more competition for Haller.

The Hammers should go for Michy Batshuayi

The 26-year-old joined Chelsea from Marseille in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to worth £33 million (BBC).

The Belgium international has struggled during his time at Stamford Bridge, but it could be argued that he quite simply hasn’t been given a fair enough chance to prove himself.

And Batshuayi possesses all of the qualities that West Ham currently lack in the final third.

The Chelsea man is incredibly quick along the ground. He likes to play off the shoulder of the last defender, and would be the perfect strike partner for Haller.

According to the Sun, the west London outfit could be willing to let Batshuayi leave on loan this month, but only if they themselves bring in another striker.

The Belgian really would be a wise signing for West Ham. He would provide them with the opportunity to play with a different style, and his presence in the side would help the Hammers stretch the opposition.

A loan move with an option to buy would be ideal for West Ham, because then they would be able to see what Batshuayi is truly capable of before committing to a long-term purchase.

The 26-year-old earns £90,000 per week at Stamford Bridge according to Spotrac, so if the Hammers really push the boat out, there is no reason why they won’t be able to get their hands on the Chelsea hitman this month.
