West Ham should look to snap up Ryan Bertrand on a free transfer this summer.

The 31-year-old is set to leave Southampton this summer and will soon be available on a free transfer.
David Moyes has so many areas of his squad that need addressing this summer.
The problem for the Scot is that he will have limited funds to play with this summer.
West Ham need to sign a new centre-forward, a central midfielder, a centre-back, a left-back and a goalkeeper at the very least really.

Busy summer ahead for David Moyes
With a budget thought to be around £50 million (Claret and Hugh), Moyes will have to prioritise which signings he thinks he needs most.
Many fans would agree that a striker, a CM and a centre-back are the three positions in most urgent need of attention.
The Hammers would then be left short in the left-back department, however. Aaron Cresswell is 31 now and his legs have gone. He’s still an asset but only when operating as a left-sided centre-back.
Arthur Masukau meanwhile, is better suited to the left wing-back role.

West Ham should try for Ryan Bertrand deal
The 31-year-old Saints ace will be a free agent this summer. And signing him on a free seems like an absolute no-brainer for the Hammers.
Bertrand, a Champions League winner with Chelsea in 2012, is an attacking full-back in every sense. He possesses a potent delivery and still has a lot of pace despite his advancing years.
He might not be a signing for the future. But he’d be a great stop-gap signing for a couple of years whilst enabling Moyes to strengthen other areas of his squad.
And then in two years time, the Scot can then sign a top-class left-back with youth on his side.
Signing Bertrand on a free would be great business for West Ham this summer. Leicester are thought to be in the race for his signature (Daily Mail), however, so the Hammers had better act fast.
