West Ham United desperately need to bolster their central midfield ranks this summer. Arsenal ace Matteo Guendouzi could be the ideal summer signing for the Hammers.

And it seems as though David Moyes could have a great chance of signing the Gunners midfielder at the end of the season.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told Guendouzi that he has not future at the Emirates.

The Spaniard is keen to sell the former Lorient ace for around £25 million this summer (Daily Mail).

If Arsenal are truly desperate to move Guendouzi on, however, West Ham would surely be able to pick him up for less than that.

David Moyes has a great central midfield partnership at his disposal at the London Stadium in the form of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

The Scot has little in reserve for the England and Czech Republic internationals, however.

West Ham should move for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi

The 21-year-old is currently on loan with Hertha Berlin.

He experienced problems on and off the pitch at Arsenal before moving to Germany. His talent, quality and potential is undeniable, however.

The Frenchman is a tenacious tackler, a real competitor and has energy and stamina to burn.£25 million is a tad too much, however.

Perhaps West Ham would be able to pick him up for nearer £15-20 million. If Arsenal are genuinely desperate to ged rid of the midfielder, they would surely entertain bids below their £25 million valuation.

Guendouzi, who earns £50k-a-week according to Football League FC, would undoubtedly be somewhat of a risky addition for the Hammers.

He who dares wins, however.

The 21-year-old has a great future ahead of him IF he knuckles down and works hard. On his day, he is a top class player.

And Matteo Guendouzi could be a real hit at West Ham.
