David Moyes still has a lot of work to do if he is to make his West Ham United’s squad complete.

And signing Swansea City ace Ryan Manning seems like an absolute no brainer.

The Hammers need to bolster their left wing-back and central midfield ranks either in January or next summer.

Ryan Manning, 24, can play in both positions. So signing him would kill two birds with one stone.

West Ham were linked with a move for the Swansea ace in the summer (The Telegraph). And despite the fact that he has only just joined the Swans from QPR, we absolutely should still try and sign him next summer.

Stats

The 24-year-old racked up four goals and seven assists in 41 Championship games for QPR last season (Who Scored). So he is clearly a very attacking left-back.

In those outings, the Irishman averaged two tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 1.7 clearances per game (Who Scored).

Manning averaged 1.9 key passes per game. He also averaged 45.9 passes per match with a completion rate of 72.1% (Who Scored).

West London Sport claims that Swansea paid just £250,000 for the Irishman. So with a decent offer, West Ham should be able to tempt the Championship outfit into selling Manning next summer.

Football Insider claimed that Manning could be available for just £5 million – an absolute steal considering his talent.

The chance to receive 20 times what they paid for him in the summer would surely appeal to Swansea.

The 24-year-old would be a very strong addition for the Hammers. And David Moyes should not be put off by the Irish ace having moved clubs recently. The Scot should do everything he can to bring Manning to West Ham.
