The uncertain future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United could stall a potential move to West Ham United for Jesse Lingard.

That’s according to club insiders Claret and Hugh.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under intense pressure at Old Trafford.

He has overseen a woeful start to the season for Man United with his team currently sitting in sixth spot in the Premier League table, six points adrift of West Ham.

The Norwegian has not only received criticism for his team’s poor performances but also for selecting the same players week after week.

Jesse Lingard has hardly had a look in under Solskjaer this season, with just 154 minutes action to his name.

Surely a move away from Old Trafford back to the London Stadium is the ideal solution for all parties concerned.

There may well be a problem on the horizon for the Hammers though.

Claret and Hugh reckon that Solskjaer is walking on thin ice at Manchester United and the prospect that he could be sacked may well have an influence on Lingard’s future.

A new manager allegedly could come in to take the hot-seat at Old Trafford and whoever that may be could be keen to utilise Jesse more than Solskjaer has done.

The Sun claims that Brendan Rodgers is one of the lead candidates to replace Ole.

And if the Northern Irishman does get the Man United job, it could well be big problem for West Ham.

Eurosport recently reported that Rodgers wants to bring Lingard to Leicester.

So Rodgers getting the Manchester United job is certainly a scenario that would have an impact on Jesse potentially moving back to West Ham.

Let’s just hope that we can get this one done and dusted before Solskjaer either loses his job or gets the vote of confidence from the Man United board.

Signing Lingard in January should be David Moyes’s priority, alongside bringing in another striker of course.

The Scot loves Jesse and recently described the Manchester United ace as an ‘exceptional’ player (Evening Standard).

As things stand though, it seems as though a move to bring him back to East London could be complicated to say the least.
