Graham Potter seems to have been presented with a fantastic opportunity to bring a proven striker to West Ham United in the January window.
West Ham head coach Graham Potter will be well aware of the need to sign a striker before the January transfer window slams shut.
Ajax ace Brian Brobbey appears to be the man Potter wants at the London Stadium, and the 22-year-old is said to be keen to join the Hammers.
However, the Dutchman isn’t the only striker West Ham are keeping tabs on.
With the arrival of recruitment guru Kyle Macaulay, the Hammers’ transfer business is now expected to explode into life.

Now it’s time for us to make a couple of big statements in the transfer window.
One striker with a very impressive goalscoring record will be a fairly straightforward signing for West Ham this winter it seems.
West Ham no-brainer as Graham Potter can sign striker for £13m
This window has to yield the signing of a proven centre-forward, there are no two ways about that.
The Hammers are incredibly weak in that particular department right now.
There are plenty of options out there available for West Ham though.
And one has just been presented on a plate to us.
According to a report from Record (print edition January 25th, page 31), the Hammers will be able to sign Arthur Cabral from Benfica this month for the bargain price of just £13 million.
Hammers News spoke exclusively to 4-4-2.CH writer and Swiss football expert Andre Oechsner about Cabral back in 2021 when we were linked with signing him.
We were told he’d be perfectly suited to playing Premier League football, and I believe he’d be ideal for us, especially for just £13 million.
He’s not the total package, but for just £13.5 million, signing him this month should surely be a no-brainer for the Hammers.
Arthur Cabral stats, strengths and weaknesses
The 26-year-old striker has bagged an impressive 131 career goals in 316 games during his time with Palmeiras, Ceara Sporting Club, FC Basel, Fiorentina and Benfica (Transfermarkt).

That’s not too far off a goal every two games, so he certainly knows where the back of the net is.
Cabral is a hard working forward who possesses terrific movement, and he’s very cool and composed in front of goal.
The Brazilian possesses a very good first touch, and is technically proficient in every sense.
However, his main weakness is his lack of pace. He does make up for that with his intelligent movement and positioning, but it’s always hard for strikers who aren’t naturally gifted with speed to thrive in the Premier League.
So signing him would be far from a sure thing, but it must be said, no transfer comes without risk these days.
The £13 million fee required to obtain his signature mitigates that risk as far as I’m concerned.
Graham Potter bringing Arthur Cabral to West Ham in the January transfer window would be a very smart move in my opinion.
