West Ham were linked with a £5 million move for Newcastle full-back Javi Manquillo by the Telegraph yesterday, and some Magpies fans reacted on Twitter to the speculation.
The 25-year-old began his career at Atletico Madrid before spending loan spells with Liverpool, Marseille and Sunderland.
The Spaniard then joined Newcastle in the summer of 2017 for a fee believed to be worth £4.25 million, according to 90Min.

West Ham need to really strengthen their right-back department. And the Hammers’ owners obviously see the Newcastle man as the ideal solution, considering the fact that he’s reportedly available for just £5 million.
The former Atleti defender is also very versatile, and can operate at either right-back or left-back. Something else that will undoubtedly appeal to West Ham.
He is still only 25, so could actually be a decent signing, although it would be a risk for the Hammers.
And some Newcastle fans did not seem happy at all at the prospect of Manquillo joining West Ham…
