West Ham United have been one of the most talked about clubs of the transfer window so far.
Manuel Pellegrini has signed exciting Spain international Pablo Fornals as well as goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin.
According to reports West Ham are not done there.
Maxi Gomez is Pellegrini’s prime striker target while a bid for Callum Wilson is also being considered.

Incredible lack of credibility
But for every credible transfer rumour there seems to be one that lacks any credibility at all.
Two or three reports in particular spring to mind this summer.
Links to Karim Benzema and Ivan Perisic earlier in the window were nonsensical.
Talk that West Ham wanted Barcelona backup goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen from Barcelona were laughable – read full story here.
And it appears even the highly respected journalists are not immune.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio got things horribly wrong last week with a new claim about Marko Arnautovic – read full story here.

Adebayor linked with West Ham… again
But the weekend saw another ridiculous West Ham transfer rumour emerge to rival these for top spot.
The Sun claims West Ham are one of three Premier League clubs weighing up a move for Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 35-year-old former Arsenal and Tottenham forward left Turkish side Basaksehir last week.
That, coupled with West Ham’s search for a new striker, seems to have been enough for The Sun to reignite five year old transfer interest.
Adebayor may have once been a player coveted by West Ham many moons ago.

Another laughable rumour for the transfer bin
But he is almost the polar opposite to what the club looks for in a player as part of their new transfer policy to find young, hungry players Pellegrini can build a team around.
Of course co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan have been known to try and cut corners when it comes to strikers.
But surely there is nothing to see here when it comes to Adebayor.
Another one for the transfer rumour bin.
