Reports from Spain have claimed prime West Ham United target Maxi Gomez is certain for a move to England this summer.
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini wanted Uruguayan Gomez from Celta Vigo in January.
The Chilean remains keen on his fellow South American to lead an overhaul of his striker options.
Reports after deadline day said West Ham would return for the £45 million rated 22-year-old in the summer (Sky Sports).

Gomez prime target are premium price
And Hammers fans have been keeping a keen eye on struggling Celta Vigo’s results ever since.
That’s after reports claimed Gomez’s £45m release clause will be halved to £22.5m if Celta are relegated from La Liga.
The club is all but safe heading into this weekend’s final round of matches in Spain.
Estadio Deportivo, The Guardian and Football Espana are all reporting that Gomez will move to the Premier League this summer.
That will excite Hammers fans.

Devil in the detail
But the devil is in the detail and West Ham will be worried in equal measure.
That’s because the reports from Spain also claim Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are serious about signing him too.
The Uruguayan striker has scored 30 goals in his first two seasons in La Liga with Celta. He netted 17 goals last year and has 13 this season.

Twists and turns to come
However, since speculation of a move to West Ham in January, Gomez has netted just five times in 21 appearances.
The Evening Standard reports that Pellegrini wants to pair Gomez with Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic up front for West Ham next season.
There will undoubtedly be many twists and turns yet.
