West Ham United are facing a cash shortage as Manuel Pellegrini looks to add the finishing touches to his squad ahead of the new season.
According to fellow West Ham website Claret & Hugh the £69million double signing of Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals has left the club short.
C&H claims the short payment term for Haller’s club record £45m fee – 18 months – has changed the landscape for Pellegrini.

Hammers cash-strapped?
The Chilean still wants to add a second striker and defensive midfielder to his squad.
Indeed in an ideal world he would probably look to sign new full-backs too.
In order to bring anyone else in this summer, it is thought Pellegrini will have to add more sales to the impending £8m departure of Pedro Obiang.
Jordan Hugill and Reece Oxford could raise a further £7-8million.
But wantaway striker Javier Hernandez (Naked Humans) is perhaps West Ham’s valuable player deemed surplus to requirements.

Chicharito to go?
His £140,000 per week wages will prove prohibitive to any deal.
And supporters had resigned themselves to the Mexican sticking around for another season. Particularly after Hernandez took the number nine shirt vacated by Carroll.
A new report from Football Insider overnight claims La Liga side Real Valladolid are plotting make Hernandez their marquee summer signing.

Football royalty could hand Pellegrini extra funds
Football Insider says a Spanish has told them that legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo – Valladolid’s president – is a “huge fan” of Hernandez and wants the experienced forward to spearhead his team’s attack next term.
That could see West Ham recover a big chunk of the £16.5m they spent on Hernandez. The Hammers would also simultaneously be getting his sizeable wages off the books.
A deal would need to be concluded soon, though, if West Ham want to sign a second striker.
The English transfer window closes on Thursday August 8th at 5pm.
