Should West Ham keep Samir Nasri?
But West Ham could offer Nasri an extension after an impressive start to life in East London. The 31-year-old returned from an 18-month ban to sign a short-term deal at The London Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini knows Nasri well from their time together at Manchester City and offered him a six-month contract after he impressed in training and got himself fit.
Since joining, the Frenchman has shown his class, providing two assists in five Premier League games.
That included a sublime assist in West Ham’s last game. Nasri won the ball back and sent an inch-perfect cross for Javier Hernandez to equalise in the 4-3 comeback win over Huddersfield Town.
But Monaco are hoping to bring Nasri back to France, 11 years after he left Marseille for Arsenal. Monaco are 16th and only eight points above the relegation zone after a dismal season.
They also crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage and want to ensure that the 2019/20 campaign is more successful by signing Nasri.
