Italian media outlet Area Napoli claimed earlier this year that West Ham want to sign £23m-rated striker Jeremie Boga. The Hammers have already received a blow with the news yesterday that Chelsea are weighing up exercising their buy-back option on the Sassuolo ace (Daily Mail). But now their job appears to have been made even harder. Barcelona (Sport) and Tottenham (Express) are also thought to be keen on the 23-year-old.

The 23-year-old left Chelsea for Sassuolo in 2013 for just £3 million, according to the Independent. And he has gone on to rack up 11 goals and five assists in 52 games for the Serie A outfit (Transfermarkt).
In 24 Serie A outings for Sassuolo this season, Boga has averaged 4.4 dribbles, 1 key pass and 1.9 shots per game. The Ivorian has also been fouled 1.8 times per game on average in those outings. (Who Scored).
The former Chelsea man is a real handful, albeit not the most prolific of strikers.
Mission impossible for the Hammers?
He would be a useful addition for West Ham. But with Chelsea, Barcelona and Tottenham all reportedly in for the 23-year-old, surely it will be mission impossible for David Moyes.
If one of the three clubs mentioned genuinely want to sign Boga, West Ham will surely have no chance.
And it seems as though the Hammers might have to cast their net out further and wider this summer in their ongoing search for an established striker.
