West Ham United continue to be linked with a big money move for Uruguay striker Maxi Gomez.
Speculation has been rife since January that West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to sign the Celta Vigo forward.
Claim and counter claim since has left West Ham fans dizzy.
The latest reports in the likes of The Evening Standard state West Ham face becoming embroiled in a bidding war for the player.

Claim and counter claim
Depending on which reports you read some claim the 22-year-old is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Others insist he wants to remain in Spain and switch to Valencia instead.
Celta Vigo certainly appear to be preparing for life without their big striker, read full story here.
But the player himself has showed just where his head is at amidst all the talk of a move to West Ham.

Gomez post shows where his focus lies
Taking to Twitter, Gomez insisted his full focus was with the national team for their upcoming Copa America clash against Chile.
“Morning training preparing tomorrow’s match Uruguay vs Chile,” Gomez posted on Twitter.
The forward could get his first meaningful action of the Copa America in that game.
With Chile and Uruguay both more or less through, star names like Edison Cavani and Luis Suarez could be rested for the knockouts later this week.

Copa America makes for slow progress
Progress on the transfer has been understandably slow given the fact Gomez is so focused on his national team.
West Ham will just have to hope he does not shine too bright if he does get his chance so as not to alert too many other clubs to his talents and apparent availability.
Uruguay’s big game vs Chile takes place at midnight tonight.
