There appears to be another striker to add to West Ham United’s seemingly endless list of summer targets.

Manuel Pellegrini is desperately in need of a new striker or two after letting Andy Carroll, Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic leave.

Dropping like flies

Aleksandar Mitrovic has signed a new deal at Fulham and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson looks set to follow suit (Evening Standard).

Salomon Rondon has been linked with a move to China (The Sun).

Moussa Marega is reportedly set for a move to Wolves (The Mirror) and Sebastien Haller has rejected the prospect of moving to West Ham according to German newspaper Bild.

That has given way to a raft of alternative strikers Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos are reportedly targeting.

Insider claims Pellegrini is considering Chalov

And reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee told his latest West Ham Way podcast that one of them is 21-year-old Russian striker Fyodor Chalov.

Chalov has broken into the senior Russia team after impressing for CSKA Moscow.

The forward has 30 goals in 80 games so far and 16 at youth level for Russia.

And Chalov famously shone by scoring in both of CSKA’s games against Real Madrid in last season’s Champions League.

‘His agent is someone we’ve worked with before’

ExWHUemployee told The West Ham Way podcast Pellegrini likes Chalov.

“There’s another name that has never been mentioned before and his name is… Fyodor Chalov,” ExWHUemployee said on The West Ham Way podcast.

“He’s 21, he plays for CSKA Moscow, he’s got a really good goalscoring record… he scored twice against Real Madrid in both Champions League games against them.

“His agent company is someone we’ve (West Ham) worked with before so he is someone that we are potentially looking at too.”
