Manuel Pellegrini confirms there are more West Ham departures to come but rules out selling duo

West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini is far from done in the transfer window despite a host of incomings and outgoings.

West Ham started the summer by releasing Samir Nasri, Andy Carroll and Adrian.

Pellegrini then sold Edimilson Fernandes, Lucas Perez, Marko Arnautovic and Sam Byram for a combined total of just over £33million.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.

In out, in out shake it all about

Goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin were signed on free transfers. They were then joined by exciting Spain star Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller for a combined £69million.

Speculation has been rife that West Ham will now ramp up their pursuit of a second striker.

And reports also suggest Pellegrini wants to add another defender and defensive midfielder to his squad.

A host of Hammers players have been linked with moves away.

Now Pellegrini has confirmed – as reported by the club’s official website – that there will be more departures while giving a press conference at the Asia Trophy in China.

Pellegrini confirms more departures but duo won’t be sold

However the West Ham manager insisted neither Michail Antonio or Javier Hernandez will be sold.

“When you compare the squad list to last season, we need players in his position,” Pellegrini told whufc.com.

“We lost Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez already this summer…

“So, we needed to find a new one and we have different options now (with Haller).

“We also have Michail Antonio and Javier Hernandez (who can play up front) too. I think we are going to have a good squad and now we have to find the right system.

“At this moment we are not losing any more players in attacking areas of the squad.

“In other areas, we will see.”

Trio expected to depart

So the Hammers will be keeping hold of Hernandez and Antonio according to the boss. Chicharito has been linked with moves to La Liga and MLS after telling Naked Humans he was set to leave.

And Antonio was linked with a move to Crystal Palace earlier this summer (The Sun).

According to reports a host of West Ham players have been made available for other clubs.

Jordan Hugill, Reece Oxford and Pedro Obiang are for sale. And players such as Grady Diangana, Josh Cullen and Marcus Browne could well be sent out on loan.
