Manchester United are allegedly keen to sign West Ham ace Declan Rice, with the Daily Mail reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjær sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in action on Friday night.

But some United fans don’t want the England international, and think that he is over-hyped.

The Hammers starlet has been superb over the past 18 months, and has unquestionably been the east London outfit’s most consistent performer throughout that period.

Rice is under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024. And he is valued at an incredible £100 million by the club, according to the Express.

Hammers fans would hate to see the seven-capped England international leave, but for that kind of money, the east London outfit would surely find it hard to resist selling him.

Some Manchester united fans took to Twitter, however, and suggested that they do not want their club to sign Rice…

Rice often does a lot of the undesirable jobs very well, and because of that, his talent regularly doesn’t attract the headlines that it should.

The 21-year-old is incredibly important to West Ham, and he will most probably become a mainstay in the England national team over the course of the next decade.

£100 million does seem to be a rather extortionate valuation, however.

And it is understandable why some Manchester United fans think that Rice is not worth that amount.
