There is major relief for West Ham United fans concerned about the prospect of signing Olivier Giroud this summer.
£10m star wanted by Moyes addresses rumours surrounding West Ham move
It is the worst kept secret in football that West Ham will be signing a striker in the next window.
Hammers boss David Moyes banked £20 million from the sale of Sebastien Haller in January.
And the Scot plans to prioritise signing a new forward and Jesse Lingard with his summer kitty.
West Ham have been linked with a host of forwards including the likes of Tammy Abraham, Abdallah Sima, Adam Armstrong, Ivan Toney, Odsonne Edouard and Youssef En-Nesyri.

Moyes implementing Red Bull philosophy has worked well so far for West Ham
Moyes has made it clear ever since returning to West Ham that he will be implementing his version of the Red Bull recruitment model in east London.
The West Ham boss wants to sign young, talented players – often from the Championship or lesser leagues – who are hungry to prove themselves at the top level.
It has worked well so far with West Ham’s recruitment vastly improved as the Hammers recorded their best ever Premier League points total, most wins in a Premier League season and Europa League group stage football for the first time.

Some fans were concerned about Hammers reverting to type over links to ageing Giroud
So some West Ham fans have been understandably concerned by new reports that Moyes could abandon those principles to bring in ageing forward Giroud.
Eurosport claims West Ham want to bring Giroud to the London Stadium and could have an advantage as the forward wants to remain in the English capital.
The striker turns 35 at the start of next season and is set to be available on a free as his contract is up at Chelsea.
Signing an ageing, big name player well past his best on big money smacks of the West Ham of old.
And it goes against the Red Bull model that West Ham fans have really bought into.

Major relief for concerned West Ham fans as Giroud agrees deal with AC Milan
So those concerned by the potential arrival of Giroud will be majorly relieved after he agreed a two-year deal with Champions League-bound AC Milan (Calciomercato and Football Italia).
Calciomercato insist the France international has accepted a two-year contract with Milan worth £3.5m per season.
The report claims the deal will be announced after Chelsea play Manchester City in the Champions League final.
And it adds that the reported West Ham target has already started looking for a house in Milan.
If Moyes was seriously looking at Giroud then hopefully this will see him concentrate his efforts on younger forwards for the rest of the summer.
