Major breakthrough in battle between Man City and Arsenal for Declan Rice as club is confident of deal after West Ham talks.
There has been another major development in the tussle between Arsenal and Manchester City for West Ham captain Declan Rice.
There was a flurry of speculation yesterday as Arsenal and Man City battle for Hammers hero Rice.
But things have elevated to another level today it seems.
Yesterday transfer reporters David Ornstein and Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news that Manchester City will imminently launch a bid to rival the Gunners for West Ham’s £100m man.
Ilkay Gundogan’s departure to Barcelona on a free transfer has sparked Pep Guardiola into action.

Fabrizio Romano then said Rice does not have his heart set solely on a move to Arsenal. The Italian insisted Rice is open to a move to Man City, which is clearly the ideal scenario for West Ham when it comes to a bidding war.
Now Sky Sports have made a massive claim on Rice’s future.
They claim there is a major breakthrough in the battle between Man City and Arsenal for Rice as one club is confident of a deal after West Ham talks.
That club – according to Sky Sports – is Manchester City.
Reporter Michael Bridge stated on Sky Sports News at 12.04pm that he has been told the Rice deal is ‘approaching the end game’.

And now Sky Sports claim Man City have held talks with West Ham and are now confident of signing Rice ahead of making their official bid.
Sky also quotes transfer reporter Gianluca Di Marzio who states: “Rice is getting closer to joining Man City, confidence to reach final agreement with West Ham.”
“Sky Sports News understands two “big” offers are expected to be made for Rice, one of them from the Premier League champions,” Sky Sports reports.
“West Ham are closer to getting the price they want after progress was made during talks on Thursday.
“Sky in Italy are reporting City are prepared to pay £75m + £15m in bonuses payable across two years for Rice. Reporter Gianluca Di Marzio added on Thursday evening that Rice is getting closer to a Man City move and there is confidence an agreement can be made.”
This morning Hammers News highlighted how Rice’s close friendship with Jack Grealish could play a key role in the West Ham man choosing Man City.
