Luis Guilherme could still leave West Ham within the next five hours

Luis Guilherme was brought to West Ham United by Tim Steidten in the summer of 2024.

West Ham paid Palmieras £25 million to prise Luis Guilherme away from Allianz Parque back in June.

However, it has been a slow burner for Guilherme so far.

Tim Steidten received huge criticism from the Hammers fans for bringing the 18-year-old to the London Stadium.

And that signing, alongside the acquisition of Niclas Fullkrug, ended up with Steidten eventually leaving West Ham.

So could the Hammers owners really be tempted to cash in on Guilherme already?

It seems like he’s courting attention, even after the January window in England slammed shut.

We have barely seen the Brazilian teenager in the first-team so far this season.

Perhaps he’ll be given more game-time under Graham Potter, but his future at the London Stadium is clearly still far from certain.

The former Palmeiras man is drawing attention from one club in particular on the continent.

Feyenoord have not yet given up on signing Guilherme from West Ham, according to a report from 1908.nl.

The window out in Holland does not close until midnight tonight, CET time.

So if they really want him, there is still plenty of time to get a deal done for the Brazilian.

However, the Hammers are short enough as it is in the attacking department, and I just don’t see him being allowed to leave.

Luis Guilherme showed encouraging signs vs Chelsea

When the 18-year-old came on against Chelsea for the final 10 minutes or so, he made a really bad start by losing the ball in a dangerous area near Chelsea’s byline.

However, he showed real character from that point onwards, and didn’t hide one little bit.

In fact, he was the player who was showing most for the ball when we had seemingly ran out of ideas.

He made more passes and crosses into the penalty area than any other West Ham player – remarkable when you think he only played 11 minutes including stoppage time.

Luis Guilherme is clearly still very raw, but saw something in him last night that suggests he may well have a future with West Ham.

Let’s just all be patient with him and see how things pan out.
