The Hammers were linked with a move to sign the 16-year-old starlet just a few days ago (The Sun).
It seems as though Leeds have entered the race, however, with Marcelo Bielsa said to be keen to bring the talented young winger to Elland Road in the summer (Football Insider).
Burchall has just rejected a new contract and his signature is highly coveted (The Sun).
The teenager can play anywhere along the front-line although he is most comfortable when operating on the left.
Burchall has blistering pace and is a very competent dribbler.
He is very highly rated down on the south coast. And although there are no guarantees that Burchall will make it at the very highest level, it seems as though signing him would be a very wise move this summer.
West Ham to face competition from Leeds for Ajani Burchall
Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa wants to bring the talented Bournemouth teen to Elland Road according to Football Insider.
That is an obvious problem for the Hammers.
One thing in West Ham’s favour, however, is our fine form this season. If we qualify for Europe and Leeds don’t, we should be a much more attractive prospect to any potential new signings.
Burchall is still very young of course. So he will be looking for the best fit for him as he continues his progression.
It remains to be seen whether West Ham can beat Leeds to the talented youngster’s signature.
