West Ham and Chelsea are currently £4 million apart in their respective valuations of Kurt Zouma according to a report from Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Hammers boss David Moyes is prioritising the addition of a top-class centre-back before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.
And Kurt Zouma certainly fits into that category.
Sky Sports were first to report on the news that West Ham were in talks to sign the Frenchman from Chelsea last week.

And then The Daily Mail suggested that the 26-year-old has his heart set on a move to the London Stadium.
Kurt Zouma update provided by Sky Sports
It’s bad news for the West Ham fans.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth reckons that the Hammers will now probably look elsewhere:
Zouma would have been an excellent addition for the Hammers.
In 24 Premier League outings for Chelsea last season, Zouma averaged 0.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 3.8 clearances per game. He also won an average of 3.6 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).
Some have questioned the Frenchman’s passing ability but his stats last season dispel the myth that he isn’t great with the ball at his feet.

The 26-year-old made 74 passes on average per game last season and recorded a mightily impressive completion rate of 90.9% (Who Scored).
So the report claiming that we are not prepared to improve our offer by even a few million is incredibly frustrating.
We Tried FC (but not very hard).

Hopefully there is still some way to go in this transfer saga. Who knows? Perhaps Chelsea will lower their demands for Zouma and David Sullivan will end up looking like a master negotiator.
