West Ham United’s owners David Sullivan and David Gold are working hard to improve David Moyes’s squad this month.

And they will do it using the money raised from the £20million sale of flop striker Sebastien Haller to Ajax.
That’s according to self-styled Sky Sports transfer guru Kaveh Solhekol.

Speaking on Sky Sports’s Transfer Show, Solhekol claimed Sullivan and Gold are always good for a transfer.
And he said the duo are ‘working hard’ to add to the squad following Haller’s departure.
“No matter how quiet the transfer window is, you can always rely on West Ham United to buy and sell players,” Solhekol said on Sky Sports’s Transfer Show at 5.16pm on Thursday January 7th.
“Obviously their owners know the transfer market very, very well and they’re trying their best this month to improve the squad for David Moyes…
‘Almost definitely, 100% they will sign a striker’
“David Moyes wants a striker who can play up front on his own, somebody who will bust his gut for the club for 95 minutes every single game. Haller is not that kind of player.
“I think David Moyes thinks he can do better. He thinks he can take that money they’re going to get from selling Haller – although it will be paid in installments – he thinks he can bring a striker who is better suited to the way he wants to play and who can provide support for Michail Antonio.
“Almost definitely, 100% they will sign a striker this month.”
Since selling Haller the West Ham rumour mill has gone into overdrive.

Yesterday alone West Ham were linked with no less than NINE transfer targets.
Many of those are strikers. Whether the links are genuine or agents are simply following the money scent remains to be seen.
But Moyes will surely hoping he can get something wrapped up sooner rather than later given the club’s run of winnable fixtures – on paper at least – throughout January and February.
The Haller sale has certainly spiced up West Ham’s window.
And contrary to popular misconception, West Ham have done some of their best business over the years in January.
There are no better examples than the most recent January signings of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek.
